Wake Up Sprinting: Decision Time

Posted Aug 29, 2014

Myles Simmons brings you everything you need to know about last night's game in Miami and upcoming roster moves.

Good morning, Rams fam.

It’s Friday, August 29, and the preseason is now over after last night’s 14-13 loss to the Dolphins. Here’s what you need to know to start your long weekend.

STAYING AS HEALTHY AS POSSIBLE

Head coach Jeff Fisher said after last night’s game that given the plethora of injuries suffered in Cleveland, he felt it was best for the team to rest the starters for the fourth preseason contest. The decision was atypical for Fisher, but he said that no one was in the trainer’s room after the game, which was a good thing.

You can watch the video below to hear all of Fisher’s post-game thoughts in Miami.

QUARTERBACKING

Rams’ signal-caller Austin Davis continued his strong preseason by completing 12 of 19 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown Thursday night. He amassed 534 yards passing with four touchdowns and an interception through the four games. Here’s what he had to say after the game with Rams reporter Casey Phillips.

GAINING SOME RESPECT

Sixth-round pick E.J. Gaines capped his impressive preseason by notching his first interception in Miami. He also spoke to our Casey Phillips to go over all the action.
